Nowe wydawnictwo pochodzenia Tru Thoughts to absolutne połączenie talentów gwiazd nowoczesnej sceny muzycznej które przez najbliższe miesiące będzie pojawiało się na pewno na parkietach wielu klubów!

Maddslinky (nagrywający też pod pseudonimem Ruffcut Bias, Zed Bias czy Phuturistix) wchodzi na scenę którą rządzą producenci house’owi i kosi konkurencję!

Cięcie wykonane jest z niebywałą precyzją, a miecz wykuty z kunsztem wieloletniego doświadczenia ma dwa ostrza: genialną muzykę Maddslinky i wspaniały soulowy wokal Omara. Tytuł tego dzieła to “Special”.

Dla mnie już sam fakt że śpiewa na tej ep-ce fantastyczny Omar, którego przedstawiałem Wam w Winylowych bardziej jako wokaliste soulowego jest już wystarczającym bodźcem do kupienia płyty.

Katalizatorem dodatkowym natomiast jest chirurgiczna precyzja producencka, o której wspominałem parę linijek wcześniej. I jakby tego było mało dostajemy na płycie EP gwiazdozbiór remiksujących – MJ Cole, Chimpo, Atjazz, Toddla T i Simbad.

Płyta ta otrzymała certyfikat “Płyty którą możesz kupić swojemu DJ-owi” nadawany przez Instytut Tych Co Się Znają.

Danny Williamson to urodzony w 1967 roku w Londynie muzyk sceny drum and bass, związany z ‘atmosferyczną’ odmianą d’n'b. Założył wytwórnię płytową Good Looking Records.

Danny Williamson urodził się i wychował w Watford w Wielkiej Brytanii. W dzieciństwie ćwiczył grę na fortepianie. Jako nastolatek odkrył dla siebie jazz, odmianę fusion. W tym czasie grał nawet w zespole funkowym. W późnych latach osiemdziesiątych postanowił zostać DJ-em i zyskał rozgłos we w środowisku rave wczesnych latach dziewięćdziesiątych. W tym samym okresie, jako producent, przyczynił się do wydania takich klasyków gatunku jungle jak “Demon’s Theme” (1991), “Atlantis” czy “Music” (1993).

W połowie lat dziewięćdziesiątych jego sława producenta nieco przycichła, sam LTJ Bukem zaś udzielał się w legendarnym Londyńskim klubie Speed, a także organizując swoją wytwórnię Good Looking Records.

Mj Cole – Sincere

MJ Cole rozpoczął działalność muzyczną już w roku 1998. Osiągnął ogromny sukces wraz z wydaniem utworów takich jak: „Flava”, „Fever/Guilty”, oraz „You’re Mine” przez własną wytwórnię- „Prolific Recordings”. W niedługim okresie czasu po tych wydaniach ukazał się zachwycający utwór „Sincere”, momentalnie odkryty przez Pete’a Tonga i wybrany przez niego kawałkiem tygodnia w jego audycji w BBC Radio 1.

Będący płodnym z nazwy i płodnym z natury (Prolific by name, prolific by nature) MJ Cole podbił brytyjską scenę garage jako cudowne dziecko i czołowy innowator gatunku, zdobywając nominację do nagrody Mercury Proze za album „Sincere” w 1999 roku.

Two Man Sound – Que Tel America (Elaste Space Disco vol.2)

Belgijski zespół “Two Man Sound” jest najlepiej znany właśnie dzięki temu utworowi, międzynarodowemu hymnowi disco z roku 1979. “Que Tel America” wydany po raz pierwszy przez Canadian Attic w 1978 doczekał się ponownego tłoczenia w roku 81, w związku z olbrzymim zainteresowaniem. Wielu producentów i krytyków oraz didżejów twierdzi, że utwór posiada prawdopodobnie jedną z najlepszych linii basu w muzyce disco.

Wytwórnia Verve wydała jedne z nabardziej zorientowanych na groove albumów w latach 60tych i 70tych. Odpowiedzią na zapotrzebowanie na fuzję tych orginalnych, brzmień “vintage” z muzyką klubową jest właśnie cykl “Verve Remixed”. Co ciekawe, Verve nie robi po prostu unowocześnionych miksów Billie Holday, Sary Vaughan czy Astrud Gilberto z breakbeatami, a zamiast tego łączy wspaniałe głosy tych sławnych wokalistów z nutą jazzu i elektroniką z górnej półki.
